Obituary for Carl Vernon "Spida" Wilson

Carl Vernon Wilson aka “Spida”, passed away peacefully at his home in Wahiawa on Tuesday, October 22nd 2019, at the age of 62. He was born to David and Charlotte Wilson on March 24th 1957.

Carl grew up in old Halawa. He attended Aiea Elementary, Aiea Intermediate and graduated from Aiea High School – class of 1975. Carl was in the high school choir, track and basketball team. He truly loved basketball and earned his nickname “Spida” on the basketball court. He enjoyed the beach, working with plants and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Naydine K (Iaea) Wilson, sons Carl V. Wilson Jr. (Kari), Vernon N.P. Wilson (Nicole), Chad K. Wilson and daughters, Triscilla N.K. Wilson and Carline (Devin) Oliver. Also survived by his brothers and sisters; David, Greg (Nohea), Robert, Tina (Mike) Sanchez, Tammy (Mackie) Kane and Terry Garcia. And forever remembered by his seven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as aunties and cousins.

Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at First Baptist Church Wahiawa, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Casual attire.
