Joann Fa’a’a Ulu (71) passed away on May 18, 2020 at her home in Waianae surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Joann was born in Manu’a Samoa on March 31, 1949.
She is survived by her husband Taumaoe Ulu and her Daughter’s Sunshine (Peter) Fano, Joyce (Pauoa) Fua and her son’s Jason (Lana) Ulu, Jonah (Leilani) Ulu, Joshua (Cristy) Ulu and John-Jake (Thalia) Alfred. Her Hanai son’s Frank (Ua) Botelho and David (Monique) Kawewehi.
She has 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild whom she loved greatly.
Joann is one of 17 siblings, 6 of which are deceased.
She was a beautiful person loved by many. Her personality was loud, sarcastic funny and her heart was pure and full of love for everyone around her. She was the heart of her the family.
