Robert Kat Chew Lee, 82, of Honolulu passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in Honolulu due to stage 4 lung cancer. Robert was born on June 25, 1937 in Chungshan, Kwangtung, China; to parents Ah Cheong Lee and Hoi Chun Tsui.
Robert was a cook and owner of Ming Palace restaurant in Honolulu. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.
He is survived by three sons, Rodney Chee Ting Lee (Deanna), Rutherford “Rudy” Chee Keong Lee (Salena), and Reginald Chee Bun Lee.
Nine grandchildren, Ashley White (Joshua), Kapono Evangelista, Saphire Evangelista, Aleshanee Lee, Stephanie Lee, Chloe Lee, Harley Lee, Dakota Lee, and Hayden Lee.
Seven great-grandchildren, Makana Evangelista, Aaliyah Weaver, Kaenen Evangelista, Allie King, Joshua White, Jr., Karsen Evangelista, Emily White, and a baby girl due in August.
Five nieces and nephews, Henry Lee, Wendy Hadano (Eric), Patricia Siarot (Reid), Gordon Lee (Shu Yen), John Lee (Wendy).
Eight great nieces and nephews, Megan, Trevor, Jovie, Evelyn, Marcus, Katie, Wesley, and Emily.
